Actors Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling’s new film, Barbie, has opened to decent numbers at the India box office. The comedy film, based on the popular Mattel dolls, was released on Friday and has collected Rs 5 crore as per early estimates. Directed by Greta Gerwig, Barbie is clashing at the box office with Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, which made more than Rs 13 crore on day one.

The series marks the actor’s return to a Hindi language project after Dibakar Banerjee’s Shanghai in 2012. “Honestly speaking, Vikramaditya Motwane,” he said, describing why he joined the 10-part Prime Video series.

Talking about the major locations of Stranger Things Season 4, Matt Duffer, one half of the director duo, said in a statement, “We have Hawkins, of course, as always, but then on top of that we have California and Russia. We have storylines in those three major locations, and each has a very distinct feel and look. And all these storylines, disparate as they are, do end up, eventually and inevitably, coming together. It’s a very unique season.”

The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Friday disposed of the petition filed by Waris Punjab De (WPD) chief Amritpal Singh, seeking temporary release for seven days to file his nomination to contest the Lok Sabha elections, as infructuous after the Punjab government informed the court that the state has facilitated the process. Singh had filled and signed two sets of nomination forms and other paperwork on May 9, the state submitted.
