In an interview to New York Times, Bhansali remembered that on his deathbed, his father had a peculiar request — he wanted to listen to the song ‘Hayo Rabba’ that was sung by Reshma. The director said that Reshma was known for her ‘raw, untrained’ voice and after India’s Partition, she stayed in Pakistan where the Bhansali family had their roots too.The S&P BSE Sensex rose 33.20 points (0.06 per cent) to end at 55,702.23 while the Nifty 50 inched 5.05 points (0.03 per cent) to settle at 16,682.65. Both the indices had opened with sharply higher earlier in the day and inched further up in the morning session of trade with the Sensex hit an intraday high of 56,566.80 and the broader Nifty touching 16,945.70. However, towards the late afternoon session, they gave up their gains and settled flat.
