Not only Nek Chand ji, but many workers from the Rock Garden would also head there twice a day for chai (tea), with a famous tea vendor selling tea, mathis near the water tank. I would often hear them saying, ‘Hum tankee par ja rahe hain’,” smiles Saini. He adds not only from the Rock Garden, but the tank is still a meeting point for many from the High Court — a space to catch up and discuss the day before heading for home.
