Dilipkumar Giri, the manager of the showroom, subsequently lodged a complaint with Samastipur police. Apart from robbing ornaments worth Rs 6 crore, the gang allegedly stole Rs 1.41 lakh of cash from the cash counter of the jewellery showroom, and Rs 6 lakh from a customer at the jewellery shop. Speaking with The Indian Express, VL Gagiya, Palsana police inspector, said, “The accused were staying here for the last two months and had got around Rs 8 lakh as a part of their share from the loot. After the robbery, the gang members split up and headed to different places.” He further said, “Rahul Kumar was out of jail after eight months in an old offence.”
