The worldwide PC market has shown progress in the first quarter of 2024, according to a report by Canalys. The total shipment of desktops and notebooks in Q1 of 2024 has witnessed a growth of 3.2 per cent, with companies shipping over 57.2 million units of personal computing devices.

Microsoft is gearing up to add new AI-powered features to its upcoming Surface PC lineup. Codenamed CADMUS, the new machines might be powered by a next-generation neural processing unit and come in both Intel and ARM variants.

Other entries on the dictionary’s list of new and notable words include “backstop” _ a legal guarantee about the Irish border after Brexit _ and “gammon,” a derogatory British term for an angry pink-faced person sometimes used against supporters of leaving the European Union.

Additionally, Dr Sangeeta Tiwari, clinical Nutritionist, Artemis Lite, NFC, Delhi, said that some studies also suggest that turmeric may have anticancer properties, potentially hampering the growth of cancer cells and even enhancing the effectiveness of chemotherapy.
