The move comes amid a spate of lynching incidents, fueled by “fake” posts circulated on WhatsApp. The company said it is horrified by these terrible acts of violence. In addition to working proactively to prevent misuse on WhatsApp, the messaging service will also give users more control and information to stay safe.
