The government is likely to pump capital in public sector banks during the last quarter of the current financial year to meet the regulatory requirements.

“On December 22, we got information that Constable Amit Singh had shot a person on his leg. The injured person was taken to Nighasan Community Health Centre, where he was declared dead during treatment. The accused says that when the train crossed Dudhwa, the person (Lal) attacked him and tried to snatch his service revolver. He says that he shot him when this happened in the leg. We have lodged a case after getting a complaint from the family members of the deceased. The accused is in custody and further action is being taken,” said a statement issued by the GRP.

According to a report WhatsApp is testing a feature that could soon make it easier and simpler for users to identify unverified news or forwarded messages. The messaging platform has been testing the feature with Android beta users for “several quarters now”. It allows users to quickly search through the web with the text or video or any other file that has been sent to them as a forwarded message.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) on Saturday continued its search to retrieve the body of 7-year-old Aryan Jinjala, who was among the seven persons who had drowned in Narmada river at Poicha on May 14. While the NDRF and Narmada district fire department teams retrieved six bodies till Thursday, Aryan is yet to be traced.
