According to the proposal, girls studying in these residential schools have limited resources with less number of students and are deprived of holistic education in absence of co-education facility. Under a modified system, not only will the girls get to study with more students in class, including boys, the emptied space will make room to accommodate more rural girls in the hostel.

“Furthermore, meditation, yoga sessions alongside health care sessions will also be conducted for the well being of the senior citizens. A caretaker will be present at the facility and we will also provide newspapers, books, TVs which can be availed by the senior citizens,” said the official, adding that the decision pertaining to other provisions such as food is yet to be ascertained.
