Police said Nitesh Kumar Singh alias Maharaj was wanted by Bihar Police in a murder case and was carrying a reward of Rs 50,000. Nitesh is a self-proclaimed leader and founder of a banned outfit, Azad Hindu Fauz, added police.Assistant sub-inspector Ashwin Kangad was arrested in Rajkot on Monday in connection with the death of Hamir alias Gopal Rathod, a Dalit, allegedly due to police torture. He was sent to two-day police custody by a local court on Tuesday.On Wednesday, police questioned Dileep and film director Nadirshah in connection with the case. Ernakulam Rural SP AV George said that if necessary, both would be questioned again. “The police are now examining the depositions of Dileep and Nadirshah. If required, they would be summoned again.”
