The ruling-Bharat Rashtra Samithi has come down heavily on the TPCC chief’s remarks and called for protests across the state Tuesday and Wednesday. In a statement Tuesday morning, BRS party working president and Minister K T Rama Rao called for the burning of effigies of the Congress party in every village. “The Congress party has evil plans to cancel the free power scheme to farmers. It has a history of harassing farmers by not providing electricity in the past. Once again, it has revealed its anti-farmer policies. The people of Telangana, the peasantry of Telangana, should strongly oppose this,” KTR said.
