A theft, drug addiction and cases against stepfather – police in Vadodara are connecting the dots as they probe the murder of a 71-year-old woman allegedly by a teen living in her neighbourhood. Surjitkaur, a resident of Bhailal Park society in Tarsali area of the city, was killed at around 4 am on Sunday outside her home as Vishal Saroj, the 19-year-old accused, allegedly slit her throat with a surgical knife, as per investigating officials.
