Malayalam film star Dileep was remanded to 14-day judicial custody on Tuesday morning in connection with the case involving abduction and sexual assault of a popular female actor. He was brought to the Magistrate house in Kochi under heavy police security and many who had gathered there to catch the glimpse of the actor booed Dileep as he stepped out of the police vehicle. While being taken to the prison, Dileep told the media, “I am not scared of anyone as I have not committed any crime.”

According to the police, the two deceased have been identified as Nilesh Ishwar Patil (24) and Bhavesh Ashok Dhorne (28). The third person who was travelling with them on the bike was Vikas Sonawane (23). Patil and Dhorne hailed from Jalgaon while Sonawane is from Nashik.

NVS Reddy, MD, Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL), said special arrangements are being made for safe travel of the general public on December 31 night. “People who have consumed alcohol will be allowed to travel by metro trains if they are sober and don’t create a nuisance for co-passengers.
